Dear Bill,
My son seems to think I’m “nosey” and “not very cool” because I don’t want him to be on the computer when I’m not around. What are your thoughts?
Signed,
Worried in Washington.
Dear Worried,
You are nosey and not very cool. I’d suggest to make it up to your son that you give him a credit card with an unlimited line of credit and tell him to go “hog wild”.
Sincerely,
Yer Ole Great Unca’ Bill

The classes are an approach that works well for dramatic acting as well as comedic acting. It’s all about finding yourself in the moment and focusing on your scene partner. For more info, please email info@theimprovtrick.com

Yes I do remember. I’m still in touch with Jay online. I miss working (and living) with Jay. He always cracks me up.
Hi Bill. I’m a 6th grader in St. Louis, MO, and my drama teacher says that you are his cousin. Is this true? Please reply.
P.S.- My drama teacher’s name is Michael Tyler.
Yep, we most certainly are cousins. You’re lucky to have a drama teacher who cares so much about his students. Tell him I say “hi”.

Hello Bill – Thank you for the free class last week. It really helped.
I enjoyed the class and meeting all the people who help and support you.
My friend Curt came to the Christmas show and sent this to me to forward to you:
Improvisational Theatre returns as the Creative Comebacks Go Green!
this is right up Bill Chott’s alley. It could be a business opportunity or at least a good PR to promote his improv endeavors if he would play a part in what they are doing. The last event ended up as a big article in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
please forward this to Bill.

Hi. I need to ask a qeustion. I have been writing scripts for a long time now and some of them I think are pretty good, but i want a proffesional opion to make sure I’m not mad or anything. I ony have one finished one and its a play but I have a lot of un finished ones that are almost finished and some that are no where near finished, how do you think I would go about getting someone like yourself to take a look at my work ones its finished that is?
Thanks for connecting with me……
Hi Bill,
Just wanted to tell you that you are a true inspiration to me. From one Ritenour alum (1996) to another, I have a new found belief that anything can happen. I’m a 34 y/o freshman Theater performance/creative writing major at SIUE and I was questioning that path until I came across information about you and your improv school. I plan on attending when I can get the extra money to take your intro class. I am not awestruck by many people, but your path in life along with your blessings really inspire me to continue shooting for the stars. I cannot wait to study with you.
Michael Stephens
Michael,
You’re making me blush. Email info@theimprovtrick.com if you’d like to do an internship. You’ll get classes in exchange for work you do to help Improv Trick.
Dear Bill,
As an aspiring comedian/writer at the young age of 20, I would like to say you are a huge inspiration to me. Living in Alabama there isn’t much here to do with comedy in my area. So I am trying to make the best of it as I can. Any pointers would be appreciative. It would make it all the better getting advice from such an amazing comedian like you.I know where there is a will there is a way. Just need to find that way!
Thank You,
Joe King (that is really my name I’m not joking)
Dear Joe,
You’ve got a great start with a name like that! 🙂
I wish you all the best of luck and I’m sorry it’s taken soooo long to respond. I hope you’re making your own comedy opportunites, like starting an open mic night or your own improv team. If you need any suggestions about how to do that, let me know.
Sincerely,
Bill
hello tomorrow is my B day is it a possible I can get an autograph? if its possible re-tweet me please.
Dear Bill,
I know this is a really weird question…but what is your sisters name? My dad knew your sister in distant past, but he never tells me her name. I am just curious…
Thank you so much for your time.
Dear Kasey,
Her name is Mary. What’s your dad’s name?
His name is Bill.
After exploring a handful of the blog articles on your web page, I honestly like your technique of blogging.
I saved it to my bookmark website list and will be checking back in the near future.
Please visit my website too and let me know what you think.
What’s a way to get an auto grapher Mr. Chott? I admire your work and Liked you in Rum Diary and The Ringer. All the best
Felipe
The best way to get an autograph is to send a self-addressed-stamped envelope and address it to Ellis Talent Group Attn: Bill Chott 4705 Laurel Canyon Blvd, Valley Village, CA 91607. I’ll send a picture, signed by me. Make sure you subscribe to my blog so that we can stay in touch!
I think it’s very interesting that you and my husband have the same first and last name. Chott isn’t that common a name and so I wonder if we are related somewhere down the line 🙂 Do you know if you have any relatives in WA state? I heard a reporter pronounce your name as Kott. Is that how you pronounce it? We use the “Ch” sound as in chocolate 🙂 I’ve enjoyed watching your clips (very funny) and will now keep an eye out for you in movies.
That’s cool. Sorry I’m a year late in responding. Hope to keep in better touch here. Subscribe to the blog to get updates!
You moved me to tears in “This is us”… great work and congrats on making good on a great opportunity!!
Thank you! Enjoy the pathos.
Hi Bill how did you like Pittsburg Kansas? I wish i got to meet you i remember when you played santa pups and the ringer. I live in PIttsburg all my life. My name is Micki.
I had a great time! Loved the chicken from Annie’s and Mary’s’ stay in touch and maybe I’ll come that way again.
Hi Micki! Maybe I’ll be back again someday! Be sure to subscribe so you’ll know if I return.
