Online Exclusive

Watch this by 7pm PST. It’s a mostly musical improv jam I hosted at World Comedy Studios last night. Paul Green was on the keyboard and the improvisers were at play! Such a joy. There is some language so, if you watch an improv jam at work, save this one for the drive home!

It’s only on Periscope till tomorrow night. Share this with a friend! Click HERE to watch.

This week I’ll be sharing some fun stuff from posts of the past. Ten years ago this week, I began blogging heavily on MySpace when the film The Ringer was released. I think a lot of those posts disappeared into the ether. But I have a lot of great posts from this blog that I’ll be re-posting, like re-gifting in honor of Festivus! For the rest of us! If anybody can help me recover my Myspace Posts, I’ll send those out, too!

Magic Castle in December – Just Announced

I’m going to be appearing again with Dave Cox in “The Charlatans” at the Peller Theater in The Magic Castle. Very excited to be ending the year with a bang. I’ve been incredibly blessed this year and I can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store.

Having Fun in NY!

I spent last week at the Chatauqua Institution, teaching improv, and now I’m in Jamestown, NY for the Lucy Fest. I’m speaking and rehearsing for some shows where I’ll once again reprise my role as Fred Mertz. I’ll post some pics soon from Chautaqua, and tell you all about it next week. I’m looking forward to staying more in touch this year because it’s become easier for me to do so. Let me know what you’re up to this summer. I’m also looking to teach and perform and more events like the one below. If you know of any opportunities like that, let me know in your comments below!

Spring has Sprung

Yep, Spring’s over and Summer is full-on upon us. I hope this will be a cool and refreshing way for you to spend the heat of summer where you are. I’ve been so busy that my blog posts have fallen behind. But the comedy train has been chugging and I can’t wait to catch you up on what I’ve been doing, and give you some fun behind the scenes info about Selena Gomez‘s Monte Carlo Tour…but all in good time.

I want to give you an idea of some of the fun I have in mind for the summer:

Sizzle and Splash

The hottest new things I see this summer will be right here once a month.  The first week of the month will be a post about the Hottest News and the Wettest and Dumbest ideas ever. It’ll be your monthly scoop of stone cold satire.

Now Hear This..!

I’ll be podcasting audio monthly the second week of the month. I’m planning a two minute audio podcast via Tumblr. I’ll post it here on the blog for the curious.

On The Set

The third week of each month, I’ll post behind the scenes photos from whatever project I’m working on and hot-off-the-set photos that friends share with me. That includes upcoming premiere photos  for the release of  the Johnny Depp film The Rum Diary. I hear I made the final cut, so you’ll be seeing me with Depp soon.

And…here’s the news you’ve been waiting for about Selena Gomez. Check out this clip of her being introduced by BJ “Honkey” Lange. BJ is one of my first students to move from The Improv Trick – St. Louis to The Improv Trick – LA. It’s one of the reasons I started Improv Trick. I wanted to open up opportunities for improvisers to learn and then take that knowledge with them to LA, Chicago, New York or whatever they were preparing for while training at The Improv Trick.

BJ "Honkey" Lange, now on tour with Selena Gomez

…And just when you thought I was done with the Improv Trick self promotion, check out this video of BJ introducing Selena at the first stop of her tour. She had been sick and BJ and the crowd welcome her back and let her know how glad they are that she’s feeling better.

Click HERE to see the video of them onstage together. Leave a comment here for BJ if you have a message to send to Selena!

Fox-y Strategy

Thanks to everyone who wrote letters to the Farrelly Brothers in support of my Campaign for Curly. This effort to get me cast as Curly in the Farrelly Brothers’ Three Stooges movie has paid off big!

Pete Farrelly approached me at the premiere of Jackass 3D to tell me that he had received a LOT of letters from people in Missouri. He said that they were really heartfelt letters and then told me that they hadn’t forgotten about me for the part of Curly.

I got a call today that I’m meeting with the Farrelly Brothers next week. They know how good I’ll be at this part, and if 20th Century Fox knows, then I’ll be a shoe-in.

Nothing’s ever a guarantee in this business, but if I ever had a shot at a career-changing part…this is it.

Can you please do 3 things to help out. It won’t take more than five minutes.

First take a look at my audition video
and pass it on to a friend or two. If you have blog, can you please post a link?

Any comments would be appreciated if you have the time.

Second, will you please join my Bill Chott is Curly page on Facebook?

Most Importantly
It would push me over the top if you’d be able to write a letter from the heart telling them if you think I’d do a good job. You can write to:

Hutch Parker President of 20th Century Fox
PO Box 900
Beverly Hills, CA 90213 United States

If you have a little more time on your hands, you can also write to Jim Gianopulos and Tom Rothman at the same address.
